| Ordway Prize
The Ordway Prize, formerly awarded under the auspices of the Penny McCall Foundation, and now awarded through the New Museum in New York, is named after noted art collector/philanthropist and Nature Conservancy Founder, Katherine Ordway. The Ordway Prize recognizes individuals in mid-career who have made important contributions to the field of contemporary art and contemporary art criticism/curatorial practice. The winners, one in each category, receive a $100,000 unrestricted cash award. Creative-Link conducts the jury process while the New Museum hosts the celebratory luncheon and press launch for the prizes. This partnership was founded to maximize the benefits garnered by the Prize for both the New Museum and the granting organization. Both parties will gain visibility from this partnership, and the administrative support of the Museum will increase the reach of the awards. 2010 Ordway Prize Winners Announced 2010 Ordway Prize Finalists Announced |
